ZIMBABWE ANTI POACHING AERIAL SUPPORT
POACHED RHINO is
growing by the day............ Subject to funding, ZAPAS will
have one central base from which to deploy pilots
to required areas. The ultimate aim is to have many secretly located
bases covering all high threat areas in Africa. WE ALREADY HAVE A BASE SET UP IN ZIMBABWE Although microlight
aircraft can cover great distances, to save fuel on unnecessary journeys
and to enable speedy deployment, it is important to have those bases
near or in high threat areas. Between 1 and 5 microlights will hopefully operate
from each base.
Initial funding is required to purchase microlights, solar panels, camping
equipment and to establish satellite communication, Pilots are volunteering
their services for free to help eradicate Rhino Poaching by supplying Air Support. Microlights provide
one of the simplest and most cost effective forms of aerial
surveillance, Comparably this offers incredibly low operational costs.
They are also excellent aerial platforms for patrolling perimeter
game park fences, spotting any suspicious activity, and linking up
with anti rhino poaching units on the ground.
We have already built up a database of Volunteer Pilots, now we need FUNDING to supply our initial Microlight fully kitted out with aerial tracking equipment,GPS, internal and GTA radios.
Please donate to this very worthy cause, any amount donated will make a difference and you can be proud in saying you did your bit to SAVE THE RHINO
