CYT for Team Joey
For our CCT Holiday showing of Scrooge The Musical, we are partnering with The Heroes Foundation "Team Joey" Program, which is an initiative started by a local family whose son was diagnosed with Medullablastoma (a highly malignant brain tumor). Team Joey seeks prayer on behalf of children with pediatric cancer, raises funds for IU School of Medicine Cancer research and makes life a little better for kids at the Pediatric Oncology Unit at Riley Hospital by providing legos for them to play with.
CYT, or Christian Youth Theater is a non-profit organization that seeks to build character in kids by teaching acting, singing and dancing classes and allowing our students to participate in full scale musical theater productions. CCT, Christian Community Theater, is a part of CYT that allows adults and kids to participate in a production together.
Because we were so touched by Joey's story, we couldn't think of a better way to embody the spirit of Christmas than to give the gift of legos and hope (through research) to kids just like Joey.

. It is a heart wrenching but also
poignant and beautiful testimony of how God can work through lives, in times of
gladness, hope and despair. Joey just recently
lost his fight with cancer and died on November 18, 2012. In fact, his funeral
was on 11/23/12 at St. Luke's United Methodist Church"”where we rehearse every
week for our Scrooge production. Please join CCT in the effort to see that his
legacy lives on through their family's Team Joey ministry.

We are asking that you PRAY for the Keller family as they spend their first Holiday Season without their beloved son.
We also ask that you spread the word in your
homes, schools, and churches about Team Joey and encourage them to donate legos or money to
Team Joey.
Donating just one box of legos would brighten a child's day or a few dollars towards research brings hope to families all over the world.
If you feel led to do so, please make a donation through our Go Fund Me campaign for Team Joey. You can also bring a box of legos to our production of Scrooge which is happening December 13-16 at Marian University in Indianapolis (go to our CYT website for more info).
We will deliver these donations to Riley Hospital, where Joey received treatment, on behalf of Team Joey the week of December 18th.
