Help Monica and James!

Hurricane Sandy made it's impact all along the East coast and certainly has made an impact on our friends, Monica and James Woodward.  The Woodwards just moved to Atlantic Beach (just outside of Long Beach) from Long Island City less than a month before the storm hit.  Monica's life long dream to live on the beach is now etched in her mind as a nightmare.  

As Hurricane Sandy hit, the Woodwards had no idea what they were in for.  A mere 6 inches of water in their living room quickly turned to 4 feet of sewage and ocean in the blink of an eye.  As they struggled to flee immediately, they came dangerously close to being trapped and potentially losing their lives when kitchen appliances started floating about and attempting to wedge themselves, hence blocking exits.  

Thanks to James, he got himself and Monica out.  They fled, but 95% of their belongings stayed.  Although safe, the only place they could find temporary salvation was on the upstairs deck where they weathered the storm together, huddled in a corner for 3 long hours.   

Although, most of their material possessions are gone, including their car, they still have each other (The Woodwards were just married November of last year) and are looking forward to rebuilding their future in California.
