1HTC is a community based organization that will provide technical assistance for data and research coordination as well as education and awareness that benefit the South Florida Region. 1HTC will do so by strengthening the regional capacity through enhancing the sustainable network of service providers, developing inter-sectorial county-centric cooperation, and through the collection and provision of reliable data.
There are no geographic boundaries for trafficking, and hence the need for more structured communications between the respective counties in the region. Since the only reliable data that exists at this time regarding our Region, and trafficking, is from a National Call Center, there is a need to collect and synthesize data from the various portals and Points of Contact within the collective, and the individual counties. Traffickers count on the lack of communication between Coalition entities to continue their trade.
