Onwards to Brasil, Representing USA

Hi Everyone! We are the USA siblings and we are both Taekwondo ITF fighters for about 10 years! I'm Iwlly on the left, and that is my brother Iago on the right. Tae Kwon Do (also known as Taekwondo) is the art of self-defense that originated in Korea by General Choi Hong Hi. The name was selected for its appropriate description of the art: Tae (foot), Kwon (hand), Do (art). At competitions, we fight with physical contact and do patterns, which is a type of fighting with imaginary people.  We have both come a very long way from where we started as fighters, from losing and winning many battles, and it has been hands down the best memories we created as kids. From making friendships all around the world that will last forever, to exploring new places we've never seen before! We've won multiple metals from different TKD tournaments all around the U.S including New Jersey, Maryland, Connecticut, New York, Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, and many others, placing in all of them for at least one category.  In 2015 as 1st dan black belts, Iago won first place for fighting and 2nd place for patterns at the Centro Sulamericano tournament in Foz Do Iguaçu and I won 2nd place for fighting. It was one of the most difficult competitions I've ever fought. I dislocated my shoulder during my third fight but that didn't stop me. I won the girl that hurt me but was drained during the final, which left me with 2nd. I have greatly improved since then and so has Iago with a lot more experience! We plan to go back to Brazil May 17,18 & 19 but this time to Santos for the PAN-AMERICANO ITF Tournament, not only to represent USA but to kick some butt too with your help since we sadly can't afford it right now. The money will be used to buy both our airplane tickets, pay for hotel expenses, passport renewals, for the tournament itself, new TKD bags to bring our gear because ours is in bad shape and other expenses for the trip like food and transportation from Sao Paulo to Santos Brazil. This was all decided last minute because we thought we couldn't go until one of our teammates recommended this.
