Margaret’s Soul Food & Catering – Food Truck Fund
Margaret’s Story:
For those of you who may not know, I have always wanted a small business and food truck. I love cooking and it has been my dream to have both so that I can raise my teenage daughters. I specialize in Southern and Caribbean cuisine and have been renting a space in Arlington, VA for the past 4 years.
In 2012, I suffered major medical issues and came very close to closing the doors to the cafe permanently. Luckily, I was able to overcome some of these issues however, given the effects of the economy, maintaining the café has become a major struggle. While I have much support from my loyal customer base, I often struggle to keep the business going and my health continues to suffer.
I recently acquired a food truck which needs work before it can operate. I am raising money to assist with launching the food truck to the public so that I can expand my Soul & Caribbean food business. I am here today asking for your support to help me fund a food truck so that I can continue to feed people in the DC, MD and VA area.
I am a single mother raising two (2) teengage girls. Funding this truck on my own is unreachable at the moment. This is why I am setting up a campaign for my friends, family, customers and clients can help me attain my dream of owning a food truck. With your help, this dream can come true
Any help would be greatly appreciated and would get me closer to achieving my goal.
Thank you so much for taking the time to hear my story; please feel free to share with your social networks!
