Hi friends,
My brother Martin Gallagher was diagnosed with MOTOR NEURON DISEASE in August 2018, after a tough year of doctors appointments and tests, it was the most devastating news for any family to get, especially our Mom and Dad.
His friends have asked me to set up this funding page as Martin needs extensive modifications done to his house to lead as normal a life as possible and perhaps a visit to Lourdes.
It is bitter sweet doing this as Martin is the kindest son, brother, friend and colleague you would ever know and does not deserve this terrible illness.
Martin is no longer able to work as his muscles are getting weaker. He has been a truck driver for over 30 years having started his driving career with Frank Harrington before going on to do continental driving for Virginia Transport all over Europe and most recently driving for Noel Duffy delivering oil to Jones’s Oil depots....
Martin is well known is the trucking world, having spent years delivering Stewart’s feeds all over Ireland and delivering Ballygowan water when he drove for Pj Walsh after his time at Harrington’s...
