The Wellspring Women's Scholarship Tour (WWST) features Lisa Scofield and her trusty bike. Lisa will be riding an 800 mile tour throughout Downeast and Northern Maine this June, 2015. Her goal is to raise $25,000 in donations for Wellspring, a truly worthy organization.
About Wellspring:
Wellspring, of Bangor, ME, is a not-for-profit organization which provides residential and outpatient services to men and women affected by addiction and co-occurring mental health disorders. These services are provided to patients based on the patient's income level and is supplemented by state and federal funding. Wellspring often receives support from the State of Maine Office of Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services and the United Way of Eastern Maine. About Lisa:
Lisa Scofield has been an English teacher at Hampden Academy in Hampden, ME, for the past 15 years. From 2011-2014, Lisa has also found time to work at Wellspring. During her time there, Lisa was inspired by the courage and determination of the women of Wellspring who are constantly fighting to build better lives for themselves.
Now, Lisa has decided to help these women by raising money for their inpatient care. She will be doing something she loves to do: Riding her bike. Please support Lisa through her tiresome efforts in helping the women of Wellspring to achieve what they never thought was possible: A healthy, happy life.
