Dublin Event Guide Fundraiser

The "Dublin Event Guide (for Free Events)" is a free weekly service for everyone in Dublin and visiting Dublin. It lists, describes and recommends all cultural events in Dublin that are free and there are between 170 and 220 free events every single week.

The Dublin Event Guide (for Free Events) is a completely free service, but that doesn't mean that it is free to run/provide it.

Joerg Steegmueller, who provides this service, puts in about 35 hours every week and doesn't make a cent from it, but he is hoping that the readers and users of the Dublin Event Guide will cover the quite low monthly bills of just EUR 240 per month. In 2018 there will be some additional cost to fix the website and the smart phone app and we have estimated a total of EUR 1000 for that. So everything in, we expect that we need EUR 3800 over the next 12 months.

Donations can be made through Paypal at https://www.paypal.me/DublinEventGuide but many readers also asked for a facility to donate using their credit card and that is where GoFundMe was suggested.

Sometimes people ask how much they should donate and there is no specific amount that suits everybody.
If you are in financial dire straits, the Dublin Event Guide is there for you for free. If you met Joerg in the street and you would happily buy him a pint or two (or three?), then this is a perfect amount to donate.
If you can afford it, then even EUR 20 or more would be great.
...and if you LOVE the Dublin Event Guide and want to help more than all the other people, then your EUR 50s or EUR 100s won't be rejected either. :-)
