1,000 mile Bike Ride for Education

My name is Anastasia (AnastasiaRaw.com). I'm doing an epic 1,000 mi bike tour from Maine to Michigan where my grandma, a champion for education, passed away last year.
I'm doing this bike tour to raise money to finish my college education, and as an inspiration to those of us putting off our dreams- to go out and make them real.
Unfortunately after 2 years of college, I had to take a hiatus due to my parents’ divorce, job loss, and absolute lack of funds. Working hard to support myself, I didn’t have funds or time to finish school. Now 5 years later, I'm committed to returning to school and finishing my degree. The price of no college education is much higher than the cost of college.
This fund drive is dedicated to my grandmother, an inspiring, award-winning teacher who treasured education, encouraged critical thinking, had a pioneer spirit and a generous heart. This woman who treasured education, encouraged critical thinking, was always reading and educating herself; who broke sexist barriers by pioneering in the science and research field, and then teaching even as she was told, "women can't teach chemistry". Her memory will keep me strong when the hills get tough.
I am asking that you help me to spread the word and make a donation. I’m hoping that 500 people will make donations of $50, but whether it's $40, $300, $1,000 or even $10, every contribution will make a difference and I really appreciate it. EVERY donor will receive a personalized thank you note and the knowledge that they have made an essential contribution to helping me succeed. It's not easy for me to ask for this, so I do appreciate all the help.
