The Only Scream In Town is the seasonal twist added onto the Only Game In Town each October. This tradition started in 2012 with Decimation Scream Park, a single haunt open for a few nights in October. As our guests left the attraction with wet pants and no breath, they managed to tell us they wish we had MORE! We listened, and took YOUR feedback extremely seriously! We completely revamped the attraction in 2013 and added two additional haunted attractions along with the new Thriller Mini Golf and Haunt themed Gore Carts. We are ENTIRELY volunteer run, and our haunted attractions benefit different charitable organizations both locally and nationally! I guess that means you can say we deliver a true scare with true care! Our volunteer staff is top notch and consists of students, EMTs, business professionals, construction workers, and even a firefighter, just regular people like you who enjoy providing recurring nightmares all for a great cause!
Unfortunately, our haunt family has undergone serious tragedy early on in our preparations for the 2015 haunt season. The loss of Olek Golinowski, former owner of The Only Game In Town, has left us without one of our biggest and most loving supporters. He suffered a sudden heart attack and passed away just three weeks prior to this posting. Olek loved the haunts and looked forward to the season every year; he supported us every step of the way, and played an integral role in establishing an environment that both our volunteers and patrons alike have come to love. Although we still struggle to recover from his loss, we hope to put on our best season yet in his honor.
It is with this is mind that we reach out to you for assistance. Running the two brand new attractions we have lined up for this October requires serious funding. The cost of building supplies, advertising, and a multitude of other factors is beyond what we can handle due to our recent loss. In order to be able to open up for the 2015 haunt season, we need to raise an additional $15,000. Each year we strive to put on a bigger and better show, and we desperately wish that this year will be no different. We are deeply grateful for any donation that can be made and are eager to give back to you with not only our greatest season yet, but also a number of really creative rewards - including haunt swag, a custom tombstone, and even a personalized message from one of our monsters! - corresponding to the various donation tiers.
The Only Scream In Town is a tight-knit family, comprised of some of the most dedicated and hardworking volunteers out there. The hours of work put in by our crew over the past few years are inumerable and come from a place of genuine passion. While we do love to terrify you each October, our ultimate goal is to give back to the community. We truly cannot do this without your support. With the success of this campaign, we will work nonstop through October to ensure that we can provide the best haunt experience possible!
