Memorial Fund in Joe’s Honor

Joseph Marrero III passed away on June 22, 2020. He was a loving son, brother, brother-in-law, uncle and dear friend. At 49 years old Joe’s life ended too soon and too young due to a cunning illness and addiction called Alcoholism. In Joe’s honor our family would like to make a donation to BiCi Co. based in Hartford CT. While living in Arizona Joe developed his love for biking. Biking in many ways helped keep his life on track. It provided him with transportation to his job and a way to relax and enjoy nature. Many of Joe’s life long friends are avid bike riders.
Your donation will honor Joe’s love of biking through the BiCi Co. program of Center for Latino Progress in Hartford, CT. This program is providing an opportunity to improve youth and adult safety, sustainable transportation, youth programs, mechanics classes, job training and bicycles. Bici is short for bicicleta (bicycle) and Co. stands for comunidad (community).
Our family will have a service for Joe at the end of August and we would like to announce how much was donated during the service.
Joe’s sister Marlo Marrero Fernandez will be in charge of the finances.
