<div>De artsen van toen zullen verbaast staan te kijken. Ik had namelijk nu dood moeten zijn. Ik zou de bevalling niet halen als ik niet per direct aan de chemo zou gaan. Mijn toen nog ongeboren zoon dus ook. Chemo zou veilig zijn voor mijn kind. Gelukkig zat ik later tegenover een andere arts die eerlijker durfde te zijn.

<div>Ik deed mijn eigen onderzoek, volgde mijn intuitie en trok mijn eigen plan. Ik weigerde chemo. Raad eens, 9 maanden later. Ik ben er nog steeds. Telkens heeft mijn intuitie mij tot nu toe geleid naar de hoognodige informatie e/o behandelaren.

<div>Ik zou mijn kind eerder moeten halen, kreeg ik te horen, ik zou het anders niet overleven. Opnieuw koos mijn intuitie voor een andere weg.

<div>Toen kreeg ik te horen. Je kind is waarschijnlijk naar zijn laatste adem aan het snakken, zijn leven is in gevaar door misschien wel de tumoren. Nog geshockeerd van dit bericht tunede ik in op mijn intuitie en de baby. Deze deelden een heel ander geluid. Guess what ... Hij deed het zelfs beter dan de gemiddelde baby bleek.

<div>Opnieuw zou het mijn doodvonnis worden wanneer ik niet snel na de bevalling aan de chemo zou gaan. Herstellen van een spoedkeizersnede met aanhoudende koorts leek mij niet het moment om mijn lichaam ook nog eens te belasten met chemo. Laat staan de mentaal emotionele belasting die het zou geven. Ik gaf het de tijd.

<div>'Neem uberhaupt geen chemo, het is puur vergif. Je zult sterven van de chemo behandeling zelf', volgens sommige behandelaren. Toch voelde ik 5 weken na de bevalling dat starten met chemo het juiste was voor mij voor dat moment.

<div>Sinds maart ( nu eind juni) heb ik nagenoeg wekelijks een kuur ontvangen en werd ik direct daarna doorgereden naar Duitsland voor aanvullende behandelingen.

<div>Fysiek, mentaal, emotioneel ben ik tot het uiterste bevraagd. Maar telkens maakte ik keuzes vanuit het hart. Daarom voelt het niet als lijden. Intens? Ja! Rollercoaster? Ja! Maar lijden? Nee.

<div>Ik voel mij levenslustig, veerkrachtig en opgewekt enerzijds. Anderszijds voelt mijn lichaam moe, zit er verdriet in mijn lijf. Heb ik om veel moeten rouwen door de situatie en alles wat ik daarin heb moeten missen in de zwangerschap en het zorgen voor mijn zoon als first time moeder. Heeft de chemo mijn organen meer beschadigd dan mij lief is. Ga ik nu door met chemo? Dan voelt het als een lijdensweg en ontneemt mij dat nog meer tijd met mijn kind. Dan komt er opnieuw extreme druk te staan op mijn directe omgeving die fulltime mantelzorger zijn. Dat is ook niet duurzaam. Maar ook houd ik fysieke schade over nog jaren na de kuren als deze al te herstellen zijn. Dat kan allemaal niet de bedoeling zijn. Dat vraagt dus om strategieverandering.

<div>Nu zegt mijn intuitie dat ik opnieuw voor een kruispunt sta. Nu chemo pauzeren danwel geheel stopzetten en eerst een amputatie. Daarna vertrouw ik opnieuw op mijn intuitie over welke vervolgstappen te nemen. Het afgelopen jaar heb ik flink onderzoek gedaan en van alles wat er in mijn macht lag en nog steeds is, om genezing te faciliteren. Verschillende klinieken en behandeltrajecten waar mijn lichaam ja op zegt staan op mijn lijstje op dit moment. Binnen en buitenland. En dat kost geld. Precies hier kom jij om de hoek kijken. Heb ik jou zelfs hard nodig.

<div>Ik zamel dan ook geld in om deze nodige behandelingen te kunnen bekostigen. Tevens voelt deze hele situatie en wat daar uit mag ontstaan als iets groters dan ikzelf. Uiteraard eerst zelf genezen. Dat is wat het belangrijkste is op dit moment.

<div>Fase 2: De opgedane kennis, kunde en ervaring delen met anderen die een soortgelijk proces doorlopen. Het zet namelijk niet alleen je eigen wereld op zijn kop. Het heeft invloed op je hele sociale omgeving.

<div>Now my intuition tells me I am standing at another crossroads. To pause chemotherapy, or perhaps stop it altogether, and first undergo an amputation. After that, I will once again trust my intuition regarding the next steps. Over the past year, I have done extensive research and explored everything within my power to support my healing, and I continue to do so. Several clinics and treatment programs, both in the Netherlands and abroad, currently feel like the right fit for my body. And that costs money. This is exactly where you come in.
