<div>Several years ago, my mother-in-law suffered a stroke. Although she worked hard to regain her mobility, she later fell in her own home and sustained a devastating back injury that changed her life forever.

<div>Later, my father-in-law fell, fractured his hip, and never returned home. He died as a result of the complications that followed.

<div>Those experiences made me realize that many of these tragedies are not simply accidents—they are often preventable.

<div>For the past two years, I have devoted myself full-time to developing SafeSteps. I have invested my own savings and countless hours creating an affordable, easy-to-use home safety assessment designed to help seniors identify hazards before they result in life-changing injuries.
