<div><strong>Where Future QTBIPOC Reiki Healers are Born</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Unlike any Reiki 靈氣 training in the world, Returning to the Shamanic &amp; Buddhist Roots of Reiki ™ harnesses the elements and power of the outdoors while weaving Japanese folk medicine ways with indigenous practices of Turtle Island to train future generations of QTBIPOC (Queer, Trans, Black, Indigenous, and People of Color) Reiki practitioners.

<div><br />
</div>
<div>Since the dominant and popular way of learning Reiki has primarily been disseminated through a western lens—mostly divorced from nature and its Japanese roots—STAR NATION REIKI founder, marie kyoko morohoshi seeks to bring these Reiki teachings alive through her lived cultural experiences and cultivated Japanese sensibility.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Many QTBIPOC folks are drawn to learn this simple yet profound Japanese healing modality to be of service in their respective communities, but oftentimes do not have the means or resources to participate in the annual Reiki training. Therefore, we created the Student Community Scholarship Fund to train as many QTBIPOC practitioners while providing a safe container for these students to truly immerse themselves in ancient Japanese shamanic practices and purification ceremonies of Turtle Island to help them first and foremost, heal themselves.

</div>
<div>“<em>My life has profoundly shifted on many levels since I received my Reiki Level 1 &amp; 2 training and attunement with marie kyoko morohoshi of STAR NATION REIKI. Even synchronicities feel like they occur on a regular basis, and narratives about myself have dropped, and only life-giving things have stayed; that’s all I got room for these days</em>.”

<div>“<em>Dear Auntie Marie,</em>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><em>Before Reiki, I was super depressed and burnt out from life. I was in a funk, finding my self-worth and how to love myself. During the training, I really appreciated the moments where we were vulnerable, talking story which allowed for collective healing. I always struggled in school and learning, but you made it so accessible.</em>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><em>Today, I realize my potential as a healer. I started a yoga teacher training program where we are super intentional with the practice. I am eating healthier, being kinder to myself and surrendering. I am finding my purpose through learning more about spirituality. I was purposeless and living life day by day, without much planning. Meeting you and being in a space for Women of Color healed my heart so much and gave me energy to live every day to its fullest.”</em>

<div><em>“Ooooo weeee! Learning and truly living the Shamanic and Buddhist Roots of Reiki has forever transformed my life.</em>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><em>After my epic training and attunement, I became activated and elevated in a way that felt like a universal upgrade. I began navigating my day-to-day life and work as a healing arts practitioner with a mighty anchor to ground in the everlasting energy source that connects us all to Mama Nature. This training planted potent seeds into my heart and hands to help me feel and harness our precious life force forever flowing within. Learning the healing art of Reiki on the sacred land of Buliyum Puyuuk (Mt. Shasta) was a triple bonus to this already phenomenal experience curated by the galactically beloved Marie Kyoko Morohoshi.”</em>

<div><em>“There are no words to describe how my life has changed since being trained by Marie.</em>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><em>I left feeling more aligned with my true essence and empowered to connect with my gifts and ancestors. Marie created a space where I truly felt seen and honored and empowered to trust my intuition. I experienced countless transformative moments throughout the training, but one profound takeaway was I’ve never felt such inner peace and connectedness as I did at Shasta.</em>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><em>I met my soul family at the training amongst the other students who also attended. I’ve learned so much from them, and I’m so grateful I’m still connected to them to this day.</em>

<div><em>Thank you, Marie; my ancestors and I bow deeply in gratitude to you!”</em>

<div><em>“To have been trained and in presence with the depth of love and knowledge from Marie Kyoko Morohoshi, a practitioner who divinely weaves and connects healing through a social justice lens, was truly an honor.</em>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><em>As one of her students during the 2019 “Returning to the Shamanic &amp; Buddhist Roots of Reiki: Levels 1 &amp; 2 Training Retreat,” I experienced ancestral wisdom, intergenerational stories, community, healing, laughter and joy. I cannot express how powerful it was to be taught by a Queer, Japanese-American womxn, sharing similar identities as a Queer Pinay. I spent many years feeling odd and fearful of the gifts given to me by Divine and ancestors, but through Marie’s community building, among other gifted QTPoCs and LGBTQ+ people, I felt seen, heard, and validated. I cannot wait to continue working with Marie and spreading the healing.</em>
