Their ingenuity and practical skills create durable 3-wheeled wooden wheelchairs and crutches for their dirt roads. The walking aids are for long-term use as most are amputees from landmines or untreated diabetes.

<div>The Cambodians are all for helping themselves – and they do! One small but important part of their crutches/walking sticks is their rubber ends. They just cannot get them or make them.

<div>Here in Australia a family run distributor for the most durable ferrules is Flexyfoot Australia, who have been receptive to helping this worthy cause. Their rubber endings are not only long-lasting but flexible for different terrain. Without these endings, walking becomes ultimately impossible for those who depend on crutches daily. In Cambodia, these runner stops are nearly impossible to find. For 100 tips it costs $3,999.
