<div><strong>Hi, my name is Victoria Wemimo Adebowale, and I’m fundraising to assist 16 women in Nigeria who are battling cancer. These women urgently need our help to afford their treatment, totalling €16,350.</strong>

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>As a cancer survivor myself, I have experienced firsthand the financial and emotional stress this dreadful condition places on patients and caregivers. Going through this journey, both as a caregiver for my mom and as a patient, has opened my eyes to the gaps in Nigeria's healthcare system, especially concerning cancer care.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>While I have an audacious goal to solve these issues in my lifetime, I also know that we need to deal with the current challenges women face during cancer treatment, particularly the costs.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>In Nigeria, an overwhelming 97% of people lack health insurance, forcing families to pay for treatments out of pocket. Treating breast cancer alone costs between N2,000,000 to N10,000,000 (approximately €1250 to €6250), with costs rising due to inflation.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>I have seen families fall apart, selling their belongings just to afford these treatments. I have also seen people give up because they have lost hope and cannot see a way they could ever afford these treatments. Some simply go home and wait to die.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div><strong>Now, this is where you and I come in.</strong>

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<ul>

<li><strong>€60 (N100,000) covers oral chemotherapy for one woman with metastatic (Stage 4) breast cancer.</strong>

</li>

<li><strong>€100 (N160,000) funds one session of chemotherapy, with most patients needing 6-8 cycles.</strong>

</li>

<li><strong>€500 (N800,000) pays for breast cancer surgery (mastectomy) at a teaching hospital in Nigeria.</strong>

</li>

</ul>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>Last year, with the support of donors like you, we raised €7,000, supporting 19 beneficiaries.
