Vive en Venezuela junto a sus tres hijos, uno de ellos un niño con síndrome de Down que depende completamente de ella para su cuidado. Ellos son su motor, su lucha y su razón de despertar cada día… pero hoy Mairín necesita de nosotros para seguir viviendo.

<div>Hace pocas semanas, a Mairín le diagnosticaron un Schwannoma vesicular, un tumor que debe ser operado de urgencia para evitar complicaciones graves y potencialmente mortales. En cualquier otro país esta cirugía sería accesible, pero en Venezuela la realidad es muy diferente:

<div>Ella debe comprar todos los materiales quirúrgicos,

<div>Debe pagar cada insumo médico,
</div>
<div>y además tiene que alquilar el equipo completo de la operación, porque los hospitales no cuentan con lo necesario.

<div>El costo total es imposible para una madre que lucha todos los días por sacar adelante a sus hijos en un país donde los salarios no alcanzan ni para cubrir lo básico.

<div>Solo pide una oportunidad para seguir viviendo, para poder seguir cuidando a sus hijos, para seguir siendo el abrazo, la voz y la guía de ellos… especialmente de su pequeño con necesidades especiales, que sin ella estaría completamente desamparado.
