<div>As a woman of trans experience, I’ve spent years uncovering myself. Peeling away the layers of a life I never chose. Taking off a costume I could never make fit. And slowly, through grace and grit, I’ve started to see someone real staring back at me.

<div>My voice, my gestures, the way I move through the world—they don’t seem so forced anymore, and I can finally feel myself in the way I live day to day.

<div>After decades of blundering through life half-seeing, I am finally beginning to see. And be seen.

<div>But alignment comes at a cost. And the next step in my journey—one that would bring me the deepest relief I’ve ever known—comes with a price tag over <strong>$30,000</strong>. It’s not covered by insurance. It’s not something I can wait five or ten years to afford. It’s something I need now.

<div>That’s what this kind of gender-affirming care means to me. It’s the moment the surface breaks. The moment I finally breathe.

<div>I’ve been working endlessly—driving Lyft, selling personal items, taking side jobs—trying to cover every piece of this journey on my own. And I’ve been blessed to make it this far. I know many others haven’t had that chance. I carry that awareness with me every step.
