<div>Dr. Diaz has dedicated her life to caring for others. At just 17, she began studying

<div>medicine in Colombia, where she completed seven rigorous years of training. For 19
</div>
<div>years, she practiced as a physician in hospitals and emergency care, later earning
</div>
<div>certification as a healthcare audit specialist.
</div>
<div>In 2022, Dr. Diaz, her husband, and their son immigrated to Kelowna, BC, determined to
</div>
<div>build a brighter future. Today, she works tirelessly—full-time as a dental assistant and
</div>
<div>part-time cleaning offices—to support her family while pursuing her dream of practicing
</div>
<div>medicine again.

<div>Like many internationally trained physicians, Dr. Diaz faces a long, expensive, and
</div>
<div>complex process to become licensed in Canada. These barriers harm not only skilled
</div>
<div>doctors like her, but also our overburdened healthcare system. Everyone is acutely
</div>
<div>aware how badly we need more Doctors!

<div>We are raising funds to help Dr. Diaz begin this process. Our first goal is $2,500 to

<div>cover the cost of submitting her credentials to the College of Physicians and Surgeons
</div>
<div>of Canada. Once approved, additional steps and funding will be needed to complete the

<div>licensing journey.

<div>opportunities in the medical field—finding meaningful work aligned with her skills will
