<div><span>Sie leidet an einer schweren Nahrungsmittelallergie mit hohem Anaphylaxierisiko und ist hochgradig gegen alle Nüsse allergisch. </span>

<div><span>Schon kleinste Spuren können innerhalb weniger Minuten eine lebensbedrohliche Reaktion auslösen. </span>
</div>
<div><span>Liyah hatte bereits mehrere schwere anaphylaktische Reaktionen mit Atemnot, Kreislaufproblemen, Notarzteinsatz und Krankenhausaufenthalten. Diese Gefahr ist Teil unseres Alltags geworden.

Viele Menschen denken bei einer Nussallergie an eine gut kontrollierbare Einschränkung. </span>

<div><span>Nüsse und Spuren davon sind überall – auf Spielplätzen, bei Kindergeburtstagen, in Kitas und im Alltag. </span>

<div><span>Selbst der Kontakt mit Menschen kann ein Risiko darstellen.

Zusätzlich reagiert Liyah immer wieder auch auf einen bislang unbekannten Auslöser, der trotz medizinischer Untersuchungen nicht identifiziert werden konnte. Dadurch gibt es für uns keine verlässliche Sicherheit, selbst bei größter Vorsicht. </span>

<div><span>Unser Alltag ist geprägt von Kontrolle, Angst und Vermeidung. Viele normale Kindheitserlebnisse sind für Liyah nicht möglich.

Unser größter Wunsch ist, dass sie trotzdem eine sichere und möglichst unbeschwerte Kindheit haben kann. </span>

<div><span>Eine spezialisierte Therapie am Food Allergy Institute in Kalifornien könnte Liyah helfen, ihre Reaktionen deutlich zu reduzieren und ihr mehr Sicherheit und Lebensqualität zu geben.

Die Kosten dafür sind jedoch sehr hoch und für uns allein nicht tragbar. </span>

<div><span>Our daughter Liyah needs help!</span>
</div>
<div><span>Our daughter Liyah is 5 years old.

She suffers from a severe food allergy with a high risk of anaphylaxis and is highly allergic to all nuts. Even the smallest traces can trigger a life-threatening reaction within minutes.

Liyah has already experienced several severe anaphylactic reactions, including breathing difficulties, cardiovascular symptoms, emergency ambulance interventions, and hospital stays. This risk has become part of our everyday life.

Many people think of a nut allergy as something that can be easily managed by avoidance. Our reality is very different: nuts and traces of nuts are everywhere – at playgrounds, birthday parties, daycare, and in everyday life. Even contact with other people can be enough to trigger a reaction.

In addition, Liyah repeatedly reacts to an unknown trigger that has not been identified despite extensive medical testing. This means we never have reliable safety, even with extreme caution.

Our daily life is defined by constant vigilance, planning, and fear. Many normal childhood experiences are simply not possible for her.

Our greatest wish is for Liyah to still have a safe and as carefree childhood as possible.

There is hope: a specialized treatment at the Food Allergy Institute in California may help reduce her reactions and significantly improve her safety and quality of life.

However, the costs are extremely high and impossible for us to cover alone. </span>
