<div>10 years ago I visited the ruins of Angkor for the first time. Finding only scant &amp; (very) badly organised information in the guidebooks, ever since then I've been studying the ruins—in academic works &amp; up close—to understand why they came to be built and who came to build them. <strong>And the more I've studied them, the more I've been dying to share the fascinating history of Angkorian civilisation with a global audience!</strong>

<div>So I've written <em>THE STONES OF ANGKOR—</em>a history of the architecture, the religion, &amp; the people of the ancient Cambodian empire.

<div>It's a history that involves <strong>god-kings, underwater cities, &amp; several snake rituals</strong>—as well as some of the most exquisite art ever crafted by the hands of man. And after writing &amp; filming histories of Venice &amp; Ancient Greece—and after 4 years of research and writing (&amp; rewriting)—<strong><em>The Stones of Angkor </em>is almost finished filming.</strong>

<div>I've already travelled and filmed all over Cambodia—and to be able to tell the whole story, I need to travel for a month through southern India, stop off in central Thailand, then finally drive &amp; film through the south of Vietnam.

<div>All the funds for the project will be used to cover travel costs, temple entrances, and camera &amp; motorbike maintenance (I'll be on my own bike)—as I spend 6 weeks filming in the furthest corners of India, to share with you the uniquely fascinating story of Cambodian civilisation.

<div><strong>AU$30</strong> will put a (hopefully snakeless) roof over my head for a night; <strong>AU$50</strong> will cover travel expenses &amp; gasoline for a day; and <strong>AU$100</strong> will cover a whole day of travel &amp; filming (&amp; maybe a cold beer at day's end).
