Synopsis
"The Petrification of Dee Wallace" is a short film about Dee, an anxiety-riddled young artist who is approached by Charlie, a bubbly, overwhelming classmate with the offer to co-create a comic book. Can Dee overcome the animated manifestations of her greatest fear: making a friend?
Inspiration
The film is a high-school coming-of-age story set here in Melbourne. We’re combining live-action and animation to represent the emotions of the teenage protagonist. The style of this film takes inspiration from movies like "The Mitchells VS The Machines" and "Eighth Grade".
