<div>My name is Preston Kanter. I am working on a community service project for school and for the community. I call it “The Feel Good Project.” I see homelessness in Lodi as a social problem. I’m sure most people have seen or heard of the tent camp that was on Turner Road by Highway 99 or have seen people by the homeless shelter.

<div>I plan to put together as many hygiene bags for the homeless as possible. I have coordinated with the Salvation Army on Sacramento Street in Lodi to pass out these bags on shower days. I hope my idea will help people clean up and feel more confident for job interviews targeting those who WANT to get help. I know this won’t solve all their problems but will help boost their self-esteem.
