<div>Hello everyone, my name is Gia and my parents have been living in Vietnam for years along with the rest of my family.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>Due to the heavy rains over the past few days, a record-breaking flood has hit several areas of the country.

</div>

<div>The flood also swept through the city where I was born and where my family lives, Nha Trang.

</div>

<div>The most affected areas of the city were those near the rivers, at the foot of the mountains, where the streets are narrow and the sewage system is nonexistent.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>It all happened in a matter of minutes: the water from the street passed through the gates, rose above the foundation level, and entered the houses.

</div>

<div>In the hope of finding a safe place, my parents went up to the outdoor terrace with their little dogs, not knowing they would spend 2 whole days and 2 nights up there.

</div>

<div>In the cold, without electricity, without any way to communicate, surviving on biscuits and uncooked instant noodles, and sleeping under a 1.6m table—two of them and the dogs—because the floor was wet.

</div>

<div>I didn’t hear from them for days.

</div>

<div>The government organized emergency rescue teams to help the population using canoes and small boats, but the strong water currents made all interventions extremely difficult.

</div>

<div>My family is now safe, but not everyone has been so lucky. Over 50 people are currently reported dead or missing, and 70,000 have been evacuated.

</div>

<div>The flood destroyed everything in its path, and now nothing remains but mud.
The results of countless sacrifices, the harvests of an entire year, homes built with love and a lifetime of savings—gone.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>Four of my family’s homes were swept away by the flood.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>Unfortunately, the government does not have the resources to help the entire local population, and sadly, there is not enough coverage of this tragedy in international news.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I want to help them personally in any way I can, and I’m asking for your support so I can send enough funds to help my family and my community.
</div>
<div>The donations will be used for: purchasing essential goods (packaged food, water, medicine, and clean clothes), temporary accommodations, and repairing—where possible—the damage caused by the flood.
Let’s help them rebuild part of their lives and erase at least a piece of this trauma.
</div>
<div>My mother will personally manage the funds, distributing them to our family, neighbors, and others affected by the tragedy.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>Every cent counts, and every share does too.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>My family and I thank you in advance.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>*****

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

</div>

</div>

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

</div>

</div>

</div>

</div>

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

</div>

</div>

</div>

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

</div>

</div>

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

</div>

</div>

</div>

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>Ogni centesimo conta, ogni condivisione anche.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>Io e la mia famiglia vi ringraziamo in anticipo.

</div>
