Serene was a bright light in the lives of everyone who knew her—beautiful, smart, funny, and a gifted equestrian. She was gearing up for her senior year in OHSET (Oregon High School Equestrian Teams) and had dreams for a bright future beyond high school.

<div>As her family mourns this unimaginable loss, the upcoming Christmas holiday only compounds the pain. Serene’s love for Christmas and her role as the oldest daughter and best big sister makes her absence even more heartbreaking. For her family, the thought of spending the holidays at home without her is something that no one should have to face.
