<div>⚠️ CRITICAL WEEKEND UPDATE (17 May 2026):Following an emergency intervention by our local MP, the Lead Consultant finally came to Emily's bedside. He formally admitted to us that due to an internal breakdown, his junior team had failed to communicate with him about Emily's condition for 9 consecutive days. They have now confirmed she cannot be transferred to Addenbrooke's until three separate, major diagnostic scans are completed next week. We are now forced to dig in for a much longer, high-pressure fight at her bedside to ensure these promises are kept. Please keep sharing our link to help us survive the week or months ahead.

</div>
<div>We are setting up this fund in absolute humility because our family is financially breaking under the weight of an unexpected medical crisis.Our daughter, Emily, is 19 and a dedicated 2nd-year Paediatric Nursing student at Anglia Ruskin University.
</div>
<div>Ironically, she is currently a patient in the very hospital where she has been doing her clinical training (Broomfield Hospital, Chelmsford).
</div>
<div>Six weeks ago, Emily underwent surgery to remove her appendix. Since that day, her health has suffered a catastrophic decline.
</div>
<div>Her body is completely rejecting all food and fluids, and she has spent more than a month starved, confined to a hospital bed on Rayne Ward, and entirely dependent on a PICC line for nutrition.
</div>
<div>She is physically exhausted, losing weight rapidly, and facing severe post-surgical complications that have left her terrified for her life.
</div>
<div>Following an intense battle for advocacy, the hospital has finally agreed that Emily requires a specialist transfer to Addenbrooke's Hospital for expert care.
</div>
<div>However, before she can safely be moved, she must undergo an intense schedule of surgeries and sedated diagnostic scans over the coming weeks.
</div>
<div>Why We Urgently Need Help:
</div>
<div>As her parents, we have refused to leave Emily’s bedside. We are acting as her 24/7 medical advocates and her vital emotional support. However, spending every single day at the hospital for six weeks has completely drained our family finances.
</div>
<div>We are running out of money fast.The hidden costs of a prolonged hospital stay are devastating.
</div>
<div>We are drowning under the daily costs of:Substantial daily hospital parking fees.
</div>
<div>Rising fuel and travel costs traveling back and forth.
</div>
<div>Buying basic meals and sustenance at the hospital while guarding her bedside.
</div>
<div>.Emily has dedicated her young life to training to care for sick children.
</div>
<div>Now, she is the one who desperately needs help. We need to focus 100% of our energy on keeping Emily safe, fighting for her treatment, and getting her transferred to Addenbrooke's, rather than panicking about how we will afford fuel or food tomorrow.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Any donation, no matter how small, will directly buy us the fuel, parking, and food we need to survive the next few weeks at her bedside. If you cannot donate, please consider sharing our link.
</div>

</div>
<div>Thank you from the bottom of our hearts,Pete, Amy, and Emily x
