<div>At around two in the morning of November 19th 2021, a fire started in the Harlem apartment building where Papa Kente lived with his wife Adianatou-Nene Korouma, their four year old daughter and newborn son. Papa Kente was at work, so Nene tried to escape alone with the children through the smoke-filled hallway, succumbed to the fumes and lost her life.
