<div><strong>Our Story: How DJing for Diabetes Was Born</strong>

</div>
<div>Hi, I am <strong>Wendell Mosby</strong>, and I am the founder of <strong>DJing for Diabetes Foundation, Inc.</strong>, a nonprofit dedicated to supporting individuals and families affected by <strong>Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes</strong> through the power of <strong>music, education, and community engagement</strong>.

<div>The journey with diabetes became personal when our son, <strong>Myles</strong>, was diagnosed with <strong>Type 1 Diabetes</strong> <strong>at the age of 7</strong>. As a family, we were suddenly faced with learning how to manage a lifelong condition—balancing <strong>blood sugars, insulin, and daily routines</strong>. But more than anything, we wanted Myles to know that <strong>diabetes wouldn't stop him from living his dreams</strong>.

<div>Before his diagnosis, Myles fell in love with <strong>DJing</strong>. We got him a mixer, and during the pandemic, he entertained his classmates by <strong>DJing virtual parties</strong>, spreading joy when the world felt uncertain. But after his diagnosis, DJing took on an even greater meaning.

<div>For Myles’ <strong>first Diaversary</strong> (the one-year anniversary of his diagnosis), Tiffany visited his classroom to <strong>educate his peers</strong> about Type 1 diabetes. She created fun, interactive games to help his classmates understand what Myles goes through every day. To celebrate, Myles DJ’ed the party—spinning music and lifting spirits.

<div> <strong>Builds Community</strong> – Creating<strong> inclusive events</strong> where families can connect, celebrate milestones, and feel seen and supported.
