<div><span style="font-family:inherit;font-size:1rem;color:inherit;">in </span><strong style="font-family:inherit;font-size:1rem;color:inherit;">active recovery</strong><span style="font-family:inherit;font-size:1rem;color:inherit;"> for a little over</span><strong style="font-family:inherit;font-size:1rem;color:inherit;"><em> 24 months.</em></strong><span style="font-family:inherit;font-size:1rem;color:inherit;"> In 2023, I was admitted into a recovery program at the </span><strong style="font-family:inherit;font-size:1rem;color:inherit;">Salvation Army</strong><span style="font-family:inherit;font-size:1rem;color:inherit;"> in Dallas off Harry Hines. When I graduated from the program I promised myself to return as often as possible, as a part of my acts of service for the community. So, I want to give back to that program by </span><strong style="font-family:inherit;font-size:1rem;color:inherit;">hosting Sunday dinners</strong><span style="font-family:inherit;font-size:1rem;color:inherit;"> every month.</span>

<div>The clients are served three "meals" a day, but the food provided is not the makings of a cohesive meal, nutritional and often looks like sloppy leftovers. The clients there are not thought of as people who deserve <strong>hot and delicious meals</strong>. My goal is to provide <strong>sustainable, nutritional and homestyle meals</strong> for these clients, who are separated from their families and loved ones, but also striving to become <strong>the best version of themselves.</strong>

<div>Join me, in the<strong> first of many endeavors</strong> in<strong><em> serving the community and giving back</em></strong> to a program that has inspired me to<strong><em> remain steadfast in sustaining my sobriety. This mission will allow the clients to see what's on the other side of recovery and sober living. I want to be a testimony to what working the program looks like.</em></strong>

<div>Your <strong><em>contributions</em></strong> will also assist in curating <strong><em>full size</em></strong> toiletry packages, purchasing <strong>boxers/panties</strong> and <strong><em>blankets and pillows</em></strong> for the clients who are in need of them.
