<div>⚠️ The Crisis

<div>We were awarded $267,100 through California’s Permanent Local Housing Allocation (PLHA) program—funding that covers half of our annual budget. However, to access these funds, it was believed that the State required a letter of support and a nominal $1 contribution from the City of Turlock.
</div>

<div>On April 8, the City Council voted 3–2 against providing this support, jeopardizing our funding and the future of our shelter.
</div>
