<div>Apenas dois dias antes do nascimento de seu filho, Gilberto foi detido pelo ICE. Ele ainda não pôde segurar seu bebê nos braços, apoiar sua esposa durante a recuperação, nem viver os primeiros momentos de paternidade pelos quais estava tão ansioso e orgulhoso.

<div>Gilberto é o único provedor de sua família. Com sua esposa em recuperação do parto e cuidando do recém-nascido, ela não pode trabalhar — deixando-a sobrecarregada emocionalmente, financeiramente e fisicamente.

<div>Just two days before his child was born, Gilberto was detained by ICE. He still has not been able to hold his baby in his arms, support his wife during recovery, or experience the first moments of fatherhood he was so eager and proud to step into.

<div>Gilberto is the sole provider for his family. With his wife recovering from childbirth and caring for their newborn, she is unable to work — leaving her emotionally, financially, and physically overwhelmed.
