<div>Tekai is a 9 year old Xoloitzcuintle. I rescued him when he was one. Over the last few months he has been struggling with a disc space narrowing in his vertebrae which has been extremely painful. He is on two pain meds and a muscle relaxer two times a day but is still miserable-He has now lost all the muscle in the affected leg and his eye is now sinking in. The vet said he needs to be referred to a specialist and will need surgery on his vertebrae/most likely remove the leg all together. If I cannot raise enough money for this surgery he will need to be euthanized because of the pain.  He is still healthy aside from the narrowing in the vertebrae and I can’t justify letting him go. I am desperate at this point to raise the money to save his life.
