<div>Last week, Tantay’s owner and founder, José Aste, had a medical emergency that resulted in an extensive brain surgery. Thanks to the swift intervention of his neighbors and his wife, and the expert medical care he received, we’re fortunate to share that he is on the road to recovery…and like most good things, recovery is going to take time.

<div>In light of this, we’ve made the difficult decision to close Tantay for the months of July and August while José and his family focus on his health. Getting him back to the things he loves — family, community, and especially sharing his Peruvian culture with all of you — is the goal. ❤️ We’ll share updates on our social media pages in the weeks ahead, and you’ll all be the first to know when we decide what’s next.
