<div>Hi, my name is Ashley Purvis. On July 12th, my daughter collapsed and was taken to the Stormont-Vail emergency room. It was there they did a full blood work-up and found that <strong>she had leukemia</strong>.

<div>Summer was immediately transferred by a critical care team to Children’s Mercy in Kansas City. Since she has been here, she has already undergone a blood transfusion and a plasma transfusion. She will have a bone marrow biopsy done on Monday 7/15/24, as well as a lumbar puncture to determine the exact type of Leukemia she has. This poor baby will be undergoing chemotherapy and a battery of other tests and exams for an undetermined amount of time. Summer's hospital is a little over an hour from home. Summer has a little brother who is autistic and he is not doing so well being in the hospital, but we have no way to pay for childcare for him. <strong>We need help so that I can be with her full time in the hospital. We need donations to help us cover the childcare, food, gas, and other expenses in the meantime</strong>. We may also face problems with our vehicle, it is old and has an exhaust leak. So anything at all helps.
