<div>Sheba de las Alas is a friend and coworker who is currently facing a serious lung condition that has required her to be intubated and on a ventilator while they work the heal her lungs. In 2017, and early 2018, Sheba was diagnosed with an incredibly rare lung disease called Pulmonary Alveolar Proteinosis. This causes her lungs to become saturated with proteins, fats and other substances that cause difficulty breathing.

<div>On 4/20, Sheba was admitted into the hospital where she has undergone several procedures to clear her lungs. She is currently intubated and on a feeding tube. The doctors are working to improve her condition and breathing. I’m in touch with her family and also her husband who is also a flight attendant. As updates become available and Sheba heals, we will post them here. If you would like to send cards or well wishes, I’d be happy to pass those along.
