<div>One year ago, our lives changed in an instant when Scott survived a devastating widowmaker heart attack and coded twice. By God’s grace, he survived what doctors called a miracle.

<div>Just as we were beginning to rebuild, Scott was diagnosed with Stage I colon cancer in early 2026. Thankfully, the cancer was caught early and successfully removed through surgery. However, recovery has been far more complicated than we imagined.
</div>

<div>Scott experienced serious post-surgical complications, including emergency reoperation, blood loss requiring transfusions, blood clots, ongoing cardiac care, and inflammatory health challenges that continue to impact his mobility and recovery.

<div>Today, we are incredibly grateful that Scott is here, healing, and slowly regaining pieces of normal life. But recovery remains ongoing. Between medical appointments, medications, transportation, lost income, and day-to-day caregiving, the financial strain continues.
