<div>Sapphire spent her first two years of life on the street before being taken into the Humane Society. Shortly after, she was adopted during a very challenging period in life. Many would describe her companionship as life-saving, and now we must return the favor.

<div>After several ER visits, doctors discovered a foreign object stuck in the passage between her small and large intestine. <strong>Emergency surgery is required and options for treatment are limited, leaving us (her parents) with a very hard decision: have the surgery or take her home and put her life at risk.</strong>

<div>We have already paid over a thousand dollars for exams, lab work, X-rays, and an ultrasound. However, she will need to be admitted and undergo surgery which has been estimated to cost an additional $10,000.
