<div>On Saturday, August 30, 2025, Jordan and Adelaide Curley took their son Samson Curley, who is ten years old, to the hospital due to him not feeling well. After several tests it was determined that his red and white blood cell counts and platelets were very low. He was then immediately transported to Mary Bridge hospital in Tacoma, WA.

<div>Once Samson arrived at Mary Bridge, he was given blood transfusions in order to increase his blood count and platelet levels. After his transfusion and more tests, the doctors diagnosed Samson with Acute promyelocytic leukemia (APL). APL is a type of acute myeloid leukemia (AML), a cancer of the blood and bone marrow. Treatment will require two different types of medication as well as the possibility of more blood transfusions.

<div>Samson is such a sweet ten-year-old boy who loves to fish with dad, build Lego creations with mom, play video games with his older brother and spend time with his grandparents and cousins! He is obviously confused and scared right now but he is a tough little dude, and once he receives treatment, he is going to kick leukemia's butt!!

<div>Samson will remain at Mary Bridge for the next month during the early stages of his treatment and monitoring. The family obviously wishes to be close to their son while he is in the hospital, which will require several travel expenses and leave of absences with their employers.
