<div>I am reaching out to you with a heavy heart after the devastation caused by Hurricane Melissa in Runaway Bay, St. Ann Parish. My partner and best friend has been tirelessly driving two hours every other day to bring essential food, water, and supplies to his community, which includes older adults and infants. The situation is dire, with many families struggling to meet their basic needs.

<div>Currently, there is no electricity, and the lack of power makes it challenging to keep food and water safe. Generators would make a significant difference, helping to preserve supplies and restore a sense of normalcy during this difficult time.

<div>In addition to material support, we are also looking for ways to uplift spirits. Text messages and voice messages can provide much-needed encouragement and connection for those who are feeling isolated and desperate.

<div>Jamaica has always been a place of compassion, respect, and love, especially for me during trying times like the COVID pandemic. This island is more than just a location for me; it is home, and it means the world to me and so many others.
