<div>Hello, my name is Rene Gordon — born and raised in Primento Walk, St. Ann, Jamaica. My brother and I migrated to the U.S. in 1994, and since 1997, I’ve proudly called Orlando, Florida my home. Over the years, I’ve devoted much of my time to serving my local community — volunteering with nonprofits, and cooking and feeding the homeless every month, often from my own pocket.

<div>Now, my heart is broking Hurricane Melissa has devastated parts of my beloved island of Jamaica, many families have lost everything — homes, crops, businesses, and even loved ones. Communities that once thrived are now struggling to survive.

For over 10 years, this organization has been a pillar of the community — providing food, shelter, school supplies, healthcare, and hope to countless families in need.
