<div>I’m reaching out with a heavy heart after Hurricane Melissa passed directly over the western part of Jamaica, leaving behind unimaginable destruction. My family was among those severely affected — we lost our home completely in the storm. Everything we’ve worked so hard for over the years was destroyed in just a few hours of relentless wind and rain.

<div>We are grateful to be alive, but we’re now faced with starting over from nothing. Our home, which stood as a safe place for generations, is gone — the roof ripped away, walls collapsed, and all our belongings swept out by the storm. We’ve been staying with relatives and neighbors since, but the road ahead feels overwhelming.

<div>Hurricane Melissa didn’t just brush by; it came straight across western Jamaica, devastating entire communities in its path. Many families, including ours, are struggling to find food, clothing, and a safe place to sleep.

<div>I’m creating this GoFundMe to ask for help as we try to rebuild our home and our lives. Every donation — no matter how small — will go directly toward basic necessities like shelter materials, clothing, food, and household items for my family.
