<div><strong>Phillip Heyl was thrown from his bike and sustained severe injuries including the amputation of his leg.</strong> While lucky to be alive, there is a long road ahead for him and his mother, Lottie, who will be instrumental in his recovery and rehabilitation.

<div>Phillip will need a new handicap bathroom, ramp, carpeting removed and replaced with laminate flooring to prevent falls. Anticipating his needs is difficult at this point, but hoping things get easier and not harder.

<div>Phillip is my bonus brother. His mom, Lottie, took care of me as a baby. They are my family. My heart breaks, and if we come together, we may be able to ease some of the financial burden.
