While out operating his ice cream tricycle—something he works incredibly hard at every day—he was violently struck by a driver who immediately fled the scene, leaving him emotionally vulnerable and his specialized tricycle completely destroyed unable to speak to defend himself.

Despite his communication barriers, he has always found ways to connect with people and make an honest living.
