<div>Help Me Build a Small Fiber Farm &amp; Creative Business From the Ground Up
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Hi everyone,
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>My name is Pamela Middleton, and I’m starting a long-term plan to build a small fiber-based business that can eventually grow into a family homestead and alpaca fiber farm in Iowa.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Right now, I live in Eastern Iowa with my family of 6 in a small home. I’m not able to keep livestock where I live, but I’ve found a way to begin building toward my goal immediately.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>My plan is to start a **garage-based fiber processing business**, where I will:
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>* Source raw fiber from farms
</div>
<div>* Clean, sort, and process fiber by hand
</div>
<div>* Create and sell roving, batts, and raw fleece for fiber artists
</div>
<div>* Sell spinning tools like wool combs, drop spindles, and carders
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Over time, this small business will help me save toward a bigger goal:
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>* Purchasing rural land
</div>
<div>* Building a home for my family
</div>
<div>* And eventually raising alpacas for sustainable fiber production
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>The long-term vision includes working with animals like alpacas to produce natural fiber, offering fiber arts education, and building a small, sustainable farm business.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Right now, I’m asking for help to get started with the basics:
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>* Fiber processing equipment (carders, combs, storage systems)
</div>
<div>* Initial raw fiber inventory
</div>
<div>* Workspace setup for a garage-based studio
</div>
<div>* Basic tools for packaging and small business operations
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>This isn’t just a business idea—it’s a step-by-step plan to build stability, independence, and a long-term future for my family.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Every donation will go directly toward starting this small fiber studio and helping me take the first step toward land ownership and a future alpaca farm.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Even if you can’t donate, sharing this means a lot.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Thank you for taking the time to read my story and support this journey.
</div>
