<div><strong>I decided to make a GoFundMe because we recently found out our 1-year-old daughter has a rare eye cancer, retinoblastoma.</strong> For the last week, we have been staying at St. Jude’s Hospital in Memphis, TN, a 5-hour drive from home. <strong>Her first round of chemo is scheduled for Tuesday. </strong>Intra-arterial chemotherapy (IAC), also known as regional chemotherapy, is a specialized treatment for retinoblastoma, where chemotherapy drugs are delivered directly to the tumor via a catheter inserted into a blood vessel near the groin. As long as there are no complications, we should be able to go back home Wednesday or Thursday. <strong>We will have to travel from Illinois to Tennessee, every 3-4 weeks for the next 6 months to finish her chemo</strong>. I currently work at a daycare, but with everything going on, I'm not sure when I will be able to return to work. I’m not one who likes to ask for help often but we still have a long journey ahead of us. <strong>Any amount is truly appreciated. </strong>&amp; If you can’t donate, we understand.
