<div>I’m trying to raise $4,000 to cover rent and basic bills while I keep applying for jobs every day and trying to get back on my feet. I also have two cats I’ve had for years that I’m doing everything I can to keep housed and safe.

<div>I was laid off in July 2025 from a job I had for 3 years. Since then, I’ve applied to around 1,000 jobs and haven’t been able to find stable work yet.

<div>To stay afloat, I’ve done everything I could think of. I drained my 401k (~$16k), sublet rooms in my apartment, and have been actively trying to fill the remaining rooms through Roomies and SpareRoom. Right now I only have one roommate paying $1,500/month.

<div>My total rent is $4,400. Even after splitting it, I’m still responsible for about $2,900. I’m coming up on the end of March with no income left.

<div>My lease charges a 10% late fee starting the second day rent is late (~$290 immediately), with no grace period, which can spiral really quickly if I fall behind.

<div>I’ve tried getting a loan (denied by Navy Federal), and I don’t have family nearby who can help financially.

<div>I’m happy to provide proof of my lease, rent, or anything else for transparency.

<div>If anyone is able to help at all, even just sharing this, I would genuinely appreciate it more than I can say.
