<div>Hi, my family has been impacted by the San Antonio flooding. My husband got caught in floodwaters and thankfully is ok. We’re beyond grateful for that. Unfortunately, <strong>our car has been deemed a total loss</strong>. It was our family vehicle. <strong>We have a special needs daughter who requires 3 appointments a week</strong>. Her speech and occupational therapy are vital for her to maintain the tremendous progress she’s made in her speech and behavior. Without a family vehicle that can fit the 5 of us and be available for me to use during my husband’s work week, the logistics of maintaining those appointments are difficult.

<div>This setback has also occurred immediately after we had to pay for repairs on the one working vehicle we do have. Last month, someone caused $1,500 in damages to our small commuter car by attempting to steal it. And seemingly, bad things do come in threes as just a couple of weeks prior to that, my mother died after a long battle with Multiple Sclerosis. So, the financial and emotional setbacks have very much compounded lately. From funeral expenses, vehicle repairs, and now having a totaled car, this past month has felt very hard.
