<div>I was having a hard time seeing, and my vision became more noticeably impaired. On May 14th, 2025, I had an eye exam and was suspected of having cataracts and glaucoma. I went to an ophthalmologist specialist for a second evaluation and medical opinion, where further testing was done, and <strong>I was diagnosed with hypermature cataracts as well as stage 4 severe glaucoma </strong>in both my left and right eye.<strong> </strong>I was then given a treatment plan and was told <strong>without treatment that I would have complete vision loss and total blindness.</strong>

<div>My insurance will cover the procedure room, surgical supplies, IV, and general anesthesia, however, <strong>it does not cover multifocal intraocular prescription lenses</strong> that would be implanted in both my eyes.

<div>This is why I am asking for the <strong>1,600 dollars to cover the multifocal intraocular lenses, 800 per eye</strong>, which my insurance has refused to cover.
