These experiences have shaped my commitment to advancing Indigenous rights and conservation practices rooted in traditional knowledge. Now, I have the opportunity to take this work to the next level by attending the Indigenous Conservation Collaborations program at Arizona State University (ASU).

My last job introduced me to several Indigenous communities that were facing eviction from their homelands in order to "protect" the lands biodiversity. The UN Mechanisims was their last recourse for justice and protection but many of our Indigenous communities are left unaware, unable to participate or left out of
